THE goings-on in Doonside sound like something out of a sniper-style video game.
An unknown shooter has targeted the flat windows on the seaside strip of flat blocks, with residents of several blocks expressing the same complaint.
Police have been called in, and hopefully the culprit ceases this inane pastime before someone gets seriously hurt. If not, they should face the consequences of their actions.
Unlike the unreal world of video games, life is not a simulation where you get a second chance, or simply reboot.
It’s surprising, noting the number of incidents that have already taken place, that no-one has been hurt.
Lawlessness is something that, if allowed to creep unfettered into society – whether it’s through indiscriminate littering, non-payment of taxes or speeding – can quickly unravel into anarchy.
