It was sad that the Springboks are not in the final, but they are still our heroes anyway and have done us proud.

Personally, I think all our sportsmen and women are quite special.

The fact that they they excel at the highest level, despite all manner of ideological obstacles and interference by the government in its various guises, is quite astounding.

When one considers that we live in a veritable failed state controlled by a ghoulish government, one realises just how remarkable our sportsmen and women are. Direct government intervention nationwide, dressed up as ‘transformation’, even at municipal level, has been confirmed to me by SASCOC’s Gideon Sam.

This explains the Durban City Council’s current attempts to destroy sporting entities in Durban. When you couple this with the fact that the news of the day is dominated by reports of crime and violence, endless tales of corruption, and just plain stupid government and dysfunction, well, it’s enough to make anyone cry.

Rather than being overwhelmed by the negatives, we take inspiration from our sportsmen and women. They do the national psyche a power of good. We owe them a debt of gratitude.
