OVERALL winners for the monthly twinkle trips played on Wednesday, 13 January at Winklespruit Bowling Club were Heather Brown, Joan Van Rensburg and Vera Broskie.
Second session winners were Jeanette Els, Yvonne Hooper and Norma Raath.
Heather Brown won the 100 board and the spider was won by Linda Mc Gregor. The mystery prize went to Maureen Griffin.
The men’s Kwik Spar trips was played on Thursday, 14 January and overall winners were Herbie Hofmann, Owen Turner and Gerhard Hofmann. Second session went to Duncan Wright, Dave Gardner and Peter Labuschagne. Brian Bodley was the winner of the 100 board.
Friday, 15 January’s attendance draw was won by Trebor Vosloo, who but was not present, so it is carried over.
The Friday evening meal was enjoyed by all present. There will be a meal this Friday, 22 January.
The Clearwater Spur mixed 2-4-2 competition was played on Saturday, 16 January. Overall winners were Dries and Sandy Snyman. First session was won by Estelle Van Der Merwe and Piet Du Toit and second Session winners were Eddie Bingham and Pipa Hanel. The 100 board was won by Pipa Hanel.
Note that the monthly boot sale which was to have taken place on 30 January has been cancelled due to club commitments. The boot sale will commence again as from the last Saturday of February.
The Sunday mixed trips will be played on 24 January. Indicate on the player list on the notice board if you are able to play. There will be a braai afterwards.
Note that the starting time for Wednesday and Friday social bowls will be 2.15pm for 2.30pm until further notice.
