Hoodlums Motorcycle Club hosts a family fun day at the ski-boat club.

The public and corporates are encouraged to enter. “Build or make your own raft and come and try it out on the river,” said Khanya Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.

“The day will feature great prizes, good company and lots of fun.

We are also looking for companies or individual people to sponsor prizes. Branding and banners will be allowed.”

Gates open at 7am, with the race underway at 9am.

Entry fee for rafts is R500 with a maximum of six people per raft. Adult spectators pay R50 and children under 10 only R10, which includes a cloth badge.

Food stalls, braai packs and a cash bar is available. As it is a licensed area, no cooler boxes are allowed.

For more information, contact Hospice on 083-597-8985, Anton on 082-467-5657 or Swanie on 083-235-7258.

A special table will be set up at the club for those wanting to colour or shave their hair for Cansa’s Shavathon.
