ACC applauds U13s’ sterling league efforts

ACC will hold the club AGM on Thursday, 23 June at 6.30pm for 7pm in the Toti central club conference coom next to Lords and Legends.

AMANZIMTOTI Cricket Club is very proud of the seven young men who made the 13-man squad.

All seven played in the ACC U13A team which won the U13 league.

ACC team members who made the Durban South regional cricket team are Corne Nel, Russel Heine, Luke Bowley, Kamogelo Chamane, Ethan Elder, Fourie Pieters and Michael Russell.

It is also interesting to note that most of the local schools are making use of the club’s coaches in their endeavour to raise the standard of their school cricket teams. Kalvin Venter, Robin Smith, James Taylor and Aiden Heilbuth all coach ACC juniors as well as school teams. It is important that the club contributes to the local schools cricket programmes’, to give local children the opportunity to learn the game from coaches who are currently involved in playing and coaching the game under the guidance of ACC’s head coach Desigan Reddy.

Congratulations to the ACC U13A team which won their league. Corne Nel and the U13 coach Kalvin Venter recently represented the team at the KZN Cricket Awards to accept the winners trophy on behalf of the team.

Congratulations are also due to Romashan Pillay who has again been shortlisted for the U11 KZN trials due to take place in August. ACC wishes him all the best for the trials, and sees this as just reward for his dedication and many hours of coaching and practice.

ACC will hold the club AGM on Thursday, 23 June at 6.30pm for 7pm in the Toti central club conference coom next to Lords and Legends. It is vital that junior parents and senior players all attend this meeting. It is your opportunity to install a committee that will help grow the club and improve the facilities. Women who are interested in playing women’s cricket for ACC in the new season are also welcome to attend.
