Tennis league fixtures deferred by junior tourney
The men’s league fixture against Mitchell will be played next weekend and Joan will confirm the time during the week.

ON Wednesday, 17 August Amanzimtoti Tennis Club’s women’s first team lost to a very strong North Coast 1.
The second team lost to North Coast 2 by two sets.
Midweek fixtures for Wednesday, 31 August are second team away to Mitchell, while the first team fixtures are now complete. Social players are to note that all courts will be available for social games. No scheduled matches were played on the weekend of 20 and 21 August, due to the inclement weather.
The first women’s team will play Durban North 1 at home on Saturday, 27 August but the second team’s match against Mitchell will only be played on 1 October.
The men’s league fixture against Mitchell will be played next weekend and Joan will confirm the time during the week. All remaining weekend league fixtures have been put on hold until 17 and 18 September to accommodate a three week junior tournament being held in Durban. The club is planning another round robin tournament on Saturday, 3 September. Diarise as details will be posted on the noticeboard shortly.
The club’s development clinic is happening each Saturday morning for the duration of the school term. If your child shows an interest in tennis, take them down to the club on Saturday morning from 9am to 10am. There are racquets available for use and children must wear suitable shoes. Madi and Gabriel will be there to show the children how to play the game.
