Amanzimtoti Racing Pigeon Club’s Basil Tait scores the best result of the year
All the fanciers waited anxiously for the arrival of their birds after their marathon journey.
AMANZIMTOTI Racing Pigeon Club (ARPC) raced the penultimate old bird race of the season from Bandeleirskop, a distance of about 770km on Saturday, September 4.
The birds were liberated at 06:30 and headed for home. All the fanciers waited anxiously for the arrival of their birds after their marathon journey.
Basil Tait’s birds arrived en masse, clocking 16 of his birds in a relatively short space in time, to record a fantastic win in the club, taking the first six positions and second in the federation.
By far the best performance of the year by any fancier. Hearty congratulations to Basil.
Danny Bradshaw also did very well, scoring sixth and seventh position. What makes this so special is that Danny only flew four birds and clocked three, all in good time. An excellent performance by Danny.
The winning bird was clocked at 16:16 in Umkomaas, recording a velocity of 1316 m/m or 79 km/hr.
