Toti team of Amanzimtoti Bowling Club in last 16 of Port Natal pairs
They say there are no easy games at this level, and both teams are very strong, so it promises to be a hard fought game.

LAST weekend saw the start of the Port Natal bowls women’s and men’s pairs competition, and despite many of the Toti teams having very close games, only one team managed to progress to the next round.
Well done to Amanzimtoti Bowling Club members, Jeanne Alexander and Jane Coetzee on winning through the round-robin stages to the last 16 on Sunday, September 5.
The next round of the pairs will be played on Saturday, September 11 at Hillary Bowling Club where Jeanne and Jane will lock horns with the Stella Park duo of Glenda Mathews and Natalie Botha.
They say there are no easy games at this level, and both teams are very strong, so it promises to be a hard fought game. Good luck to the Toti side.
Greg McLeod, Adie Fuller and Barry Bush took the honours at the men’s monthly trips. In second place were Eric Klopper, Dallas Davis and Terry Morgan, while the second session prize went to Al McGregor, Tony Cam and brand new member Maq Mahomed.
At TGIF, Keith West won the 100 board and Heather Cooper won the attendance draw, so the prize will reset to R100 next week.
George Taylor was unfortunately not able to find the right key for the box, so the jackpot for the key game will go up to R6 835 with 20 keys to choose from next time.
Birthday greetings for the week go to Lyn Joubert, Noreen Butler and Herman van Zyl.
