First-ever fight night hailed a success

Cameron Meintjies won his Pro-Am title after five rounds.

Toti’s first ever fight night has been hailed a massive success by organisers and the public.

“We put on a great show,” said Morne Swanepoel of CombatCoaching.com gym.

“Everyone is talking about how impressive it was and that it was by far the best amateur event yet.”

At the event at the civic centre in front of more than 500 spectators on Thursday, 10 July, Cameron Meintjies won his Pro-Am title after five rounds of battle.

Bradley Swanepoel won with a rear naked choke in the second round, while Avinash Namullal defeated his opponent with a technical knock-out.

Another Toti fighter has also covered the gym with glory. Craig ‘Nemo’ Ninow recently competed and won his bout at EFC Africa at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg.

Four Toti fighters will compete at EFC Africa when it comes to Durban in August for the first time: Craig Ninow, Nelson Feiteira, Cameron Meintjies (debut) and Sizwe Mnkathi.

“Amanzimtoti is making its mark on the professional MMA scene for sure,” said a chuffed Morne.
