TUESDAY, 16 JANUARY: Rotary Club of Amanzimtoti hosts the District Governor at 6pm at the Amanzimtoti Country Club. There will be an update of the amazing work that Rotary is doing in the community. SATURDAY 20 JANUARY: Jewish Mekudeshet Meeting at St Marys Church, Warner Beach. Starting at 10am with Time for Prayer, followed at 11am with Praise and Worship. A plate of snacks for fellowship tea afterwards will be appreciated. For further information, call Roger on 071-497-1804
WEDNESDAY, 24 JANUARY: The 21 Club’s next luncheon will be held at noon for 12.30pm at Lords and Legends conference room. Confirmation to attend or not must be received by the relevant committee members by Friday, 19 January. Guests who must be invited by a member will be accommodated if there is space. January has become ‘travel news month’. Jenny Perkins and Sharon Hofmann have a tale to tell. Wear something cool.
Lions host health checks
Every second Saturday of the month, between 10am and noon, Kingsburgh Lions Club hosts free blood pressure and diabetes testing at Pick ’n Pay Arbour Crossing.
The next testing will be on Saturday, 13 January.
Tea garden on break
THE Wednesday tea garden in the bird park will resume operations in February.
The bird park’s tea garden staffers, Tokkie and Lynette took a break over the festive season and will not operate during January.
