Support Kingsburgh Welfare’s anti-violence beach walk
The walk is in recognition of 16 Days of Activism Against Violence on Women and Children.
Put your takkies or flip-flops on and join in Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare’s next beach walk on Sunday, 25 November. The walk starts at 7.30am from Winkle Lifesaving Club to Baggies Beach and back to Winkle.
“We will be walking, come rain or shine – bring the whole family along and enjoy the company of others,” said Jenny Smith of Kingsburgh Child Welfare. The walk is in recognition of 16 Days of Activism Against Violence on Women and Children.
“If you only want to walk halfway, that’s fine. Regretfully there are no prizes, as this is a fundraiser for welfare.” Entry is R20 per person, payable on the day, or a bag of good second-hand clothing or toys. The lifesaving club will be open for light refreshments after the walk. For more information, call Jenny on 031-916-2274.
