These three hacks will help you clean your cookware, get rid of rust, and get your pots and pans shining once again.
Apple cider vinegar
This first hack makes use of basic kitchen products to get rid of the rust stains found inside pots. Brenna Lee Lindsey has shared a video on TikTok where she uses apple cider vinegar and dish washing liquid to clean her rusty pots. She first fills the pot with some vinegar, and then adds some dishwashing liquid before mixing the solution together. She leaves the solution in the pot to soak for some time, and then pours it out later to find that the solution has dissolved and broken down the rust that was stuck on the pot.
Salt
Kelly K took to TikTok to share her easy hack to remove rust stains off her cookware. In the video, she covers her pan with a generous amount of salt, and then makes use of a scrubbing brush or steel wool to scrub off the rust and clean the pan. After she has completed the scrubbing, she rinses the pan with water and then immediately dries it off. She then covers the pan with oil to avoid quick rusting.
Baking powder and vinegar
The last hack makes use of baking powder and vinegar. A TikTok user shared a video where they splash their cooking pan with vinegar and then sprinkle some baking powder over the vinegar. The user then scrubs the pan with a brush and gets rid of the dirt and rust on the pan. At the end of the video, they rinse the pan with water, and it is visible that the rust has been washed off.
