Artists showcase their work for a good cause

The art exhibition is not only a celebration of diverse artistic expression, but it also has a purpose – raising funds for Kuswag Skool.

ARTISTS in Amanzimtoti showcased their artwork at a cheese and wine art exhibition held at Kuswag Skool on December 14, in a bid to raise funds for a good cause.

Zelda Coetzer, who runs the art class, said the event is not only a celebration of diverse artistic expression, but it also has a purpose.

“We are raising funds for Kuswag Skool and its upliftment projects as well as learners who are in need. The exhibition showcases a variety of art – from fine art to abstract to impressionistic pieces. It also provides a platform for local artists to connect with the community,” she said.

All proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit the school, with an additional 10% of the proceeds from artwork sales being allocated to the school. Coetzer said, “The event has been very well supported, with 140 tickets being sold.”

The last day of the exhibition is December 22, from 10:00 to 17:00. Entry is free.
