Christmas Roadshow promotes fun and safety in Isipingo
About 650 party packs and hotdogs were handed out to children, while animated characters reinforced the message of stranger danger and the need to report instances of abuse.
ISIPINGO police, along with various other role-players, held a fun-filled and informative Christmas Roadshow for children in the area on December 7.

The police station’s communication officer, Warrant Officer Pam Kisten, said the 16 Days of Activism: Christmas Roadshow and gender-based awareness event covered the main roads through Boomgate Malakazi, Lotus Park, Orient Park, Dakota Settlement and Pilgrim Settlement.
“The roadshow included Father Christmas, officer Paw Patrol and minions with music, song and goodie bags for children throughout the Isipingo area. About 650 party packs and hotdogs were handed out, and children were advised to be safe this festive season. The animated characters reinforced the message of stranger danger and the need to report instances of abuse at home. The fun event was enjoyed by all,” she said.
Kisten said the role-players included the Isipingo SAPS’ social-crime unit, various community police forums, metro police, Lifeline, a security company and the Department of Community Safety and Liaison.
