Father’s Day Charity Car Show set to rev up Mall of the South

Motoring enthusiasts and families can look forward to an unforgettable Father’s Day experience featuring some of South Africa’s finest vehicles while helping raise funds.

Car enthusiasts, families and community supporters are invited to celebrate Father’s Day with a unique blend of automotive excellence and charitable giving.

AutoExpedi8 and Expo Guys, in association with Mall of the South, will host a spectacular Father’s Day Charity Car Show on Sunday, June 21.

Taking place at the basement parking level at Mall of the South, near the AutoExpedi8 Bosch Service Centre, the family-focused event promises an unforgettable morning filled with some of South Africa’s most remarkable vehicles, all while raising funds for worthy causes across the South of Johannesburg.

Running from 09:00 to 13:00, the show will feature an impressive collection of classic and vintage cars, luxury vehicles, custom builds, brand-specific showcases, 4x4s, motorbikes, and many other automotive attractions sure to delight visitors of all ages.

According to the managing director of AutoExpedi8, Jenene Cronning, the event combines two passions shared by many South Africans – family and cars – while making a meaningful difference in the community.

The Father’s Day Charity Car Show promises entertainment for all ages.

“Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to bring families together around something South Africans love cars while giving back to the community that supports us,” said Cronning.

Entry to the event is affordable, with tickets priced at R50 for adults and R25 for children, and children under two enter free of charge. Every rand raised will be directed towards community upliftment initiatives supported by South of Joburg Business & Tourism (SOJO) and Rotary International.

Funds generated through the event will help support SOJO’s impactful programmes, including food security initiatives through its Community Farm, skills development opportunities via the Charity Shop, youth empowerment projects, SMME support markets and the annual Mandela Day #HelpThyNeighbour blanket drive, which aims to distribute 6 700 blankets to local non-governmental organisations.

Additional beneficiaries include several organisations supported by Rotary International, including the United Cerebral Palsy Association of South Africa, Christways, Resthaven and San Michele Home.
Cronning highlighted that community empowerment remains a central focus for AutoExpedi8’s growing business footprint.

“As a proudly female-led Bosch Car Service group operating successfully at Mall of the South and across the South of Johannesburg and Springs Mall, we’re passionate about using our platform to drive real change. This event celebrates great dads, showcases incredible vehicles and channels every rand raised into skills development, food security and youth empowerment. These are causes that matter deeply to our team and customers,” she said.

The Father’s Day Charity Car Show is proudly supported by Rotary International, Expo Guys, SOJO (South of Jo’burg Business & Tourism) and Mall of the South.
