No sign of rain letting up

Rain continues falling in Johannesburg South, flooding roads and causing havoc for motorists and pedestrians alike.

SOUTH OF JOHANNESBURG – As the South of Johannesburg endured its fifth day of heavy rain, roads were like rivers.  Most motorists have been taking notice of speed signs and have kept to the correct speed limit.

Pedestrians have had a worse time as they walked along paths, some with umbrellas, others running to get out of the rain as quickly as possible.

As motorists drove by them, huge deluges of rain washed over some of the pedestrians, soaking them to the skin.

Weather reports predict lots more rain to come over the next few days. Stay away from rivers and spruits and avoid low lying roads and pathways.
