ITUMELENG BOKABA: “We need to be one as a nation and report every criminal activity, especially crimes involving children. Something must be done to stop these killings.”
THE COURIER asked our readers what measures they think should be taken to prevent the brutal killing of learners. This is what people had to say:
DENNIS NAUDE: “Simple. The country needs to go back to God and seek His protection. Even the Bible states that we shouldn’t fight but let God fight for us.”
ANTONY VAGAGGINI: “We should respect each other, be it a child or an adult. We need to engage with SAPS to provide more police officers.”
MOHAU MOTAUNG: “These killings are totally wrong. We should educate our children about how to respect other people. Schools should implement programmes which aim to stop these killings.”
NJABULO ZUMA: “Schools need to make sure their security tightens up. Also, no learner should be permitted to bring a knife to school. People shouldn’t take matters of this nature lightly because our children are not safe.”
