Children steal CCTV cameras

Stealing of CCTV cameras in Robertsham on a high.

ROBERTSHAM – Robertsham  area has been hit by children stealing home CCTV cameras in broad daylight. Apparently this crime is now a trend in the area. Aisha Simjee, who has been a victim of this, wondered what happened to the days when the only offence was children playing toktokkie (throw small stones on the houses with zinc roofs). “We would be so afraid to be caught out. This is happening in other houses as well in the area.

“I am so disgusted by our youth, their mentality and the fact that they have no fear at all. They show no remorse for the wrong they do. The fact that they can go and take the next person’s property without fear of being caught. I don’t know these children, but I am sure they live in Robertsham area,” she explained.

If anyone can identify them please contact Detective Nengovhela from Booysens Police Station 011 433 5200.
