One suspect arrested for assault and child abuse
On Tuesday April 8 at about 13:30 an unknown black male came to the station to open a case of child abuse. The complainant received a call from his brother that he must go and get a copy of the Daily Sun. His brother explained to him that a photo of his child was on the front page. The complainant went to buy the paper and noticed that his child of 19 months was tied and gagged with tape at Petite Bumper crèche at La-Rochelle.
The complainant mentioned that he removed his child from the Petite Bumper crèche in February, because he saw the owner of the crèche smoking in front of the kids, and that he heard the community members complaining that she is abusing kids. A case of assault and child abuse was opened and the owner of the crèche was arrested immediately by Moffatview SAPS members.
Moffatview SAPS appeals to members of the public that if they notice or see something suspicious they need to inform the police immediately.
