RIDGEWAY – The residents were sleeping while the suspects broke through the wall from the neighbours property, removing bricks from the single boundary wall between both houses.
The suspects broke the lounge window and burglar bars to get into the house, and stole a Samsung flat screen TV, cellphones and other electrical goods.

Make sure to sleep with your alarm on for security reasons.
If you have a single wall as a boundary wall, please look at reinforcing it.
If your neighbours walls are low or a security risk, chat to them about upping their security or look at reinforcing your security to make it safer for your family.
Always ensure you sign up and are linked to a security company in the area.
Make sure your electric fence is connected to your alarm.
Always test your alarm to make sure it is in good working condition.
Look out for markings in front of your property every day (ie, coke bottles and tins, chalk or paint markings on pavement or trees. Markings also opposite your house on the road or on the pavement).
