Partially burnt body found in Glenanda North

A body was found in Amanada Avenue, Glenanda North, opposite SOS Pro-Tecsure offices on Wednesday afternoon August 13, at about 15:00.

GLENANDA NORTH – A team of contractors, believed to be working for City Parks, were cutting grass when the partially burnt body was found.

JMPD were contacted and were quickly on the scene, with EMS and Moffatview SAPS arriving not long after. Michelle Pelser from Sector Two CPF was also called to the scene. The crime area was taped off awaiting forensics.

According to Martin Barber from SOS, children had been seen playing on the veld opposite their offices about a week ago and a fire had been started burning two semi circles of grass. The body was found nearby a tree and a rock.

Detectives and forensics arrived at the scene at about 17:00.

The case is being investigated and no more news is available at present.
