Free Depression and Anxiety Support Group in Mondeor
Support Groups can offer anyone suffering from a mental illness, as well as their loved ones, a place of warmth, understanding and support.

MONDEOR – Research shows that Support Groups can help people cope with and recover from a wide variety of problems. They can help you deal with a mental illness diagnosis or a substance abuse problem or addiction. They are able to provide information on the illness and ways to treat and manage it, as well as help give patients and loved ones names of places where further help and assistance can be found.
Guest speakers and experts in various fields sometimes will also give talks to the group. Groups discuss effective ways of managing symptoms, self-help tips and how to help a loved one with a mental health problem. In light of this SADAG would like to invite community members to attend the new free Support Group on Depression and Anxiety in Mondeor.
The first meeting will take place on Tuesday November 4 at the Mondeor Anglican Church, corner Downham Road and Columbine Avenue, Mondeor. For more information regarding the support group please contact Support Group Leader Helen 079 353 3992 or SADAG 0800 21 22 23.
This group is among many run by SADAG – a non-profit organization (NPO 013-085 Reg number 2000/025903/08) striving to educate patients, families, professionals and the general public on the nature and management of mental illnesses and substance abuse. SADAG, as an NPO also aims to eliminate the discrimination and stigma that surrounds these problems as well as to increase access to high-quality care for all South Africans.
SADAG support groups are run either by members of their local community who have recovered from one of these disorders or by professionals working in the community. These groups allow members the opportunity to form connections with others experiencing similar troubles and to learn from one another in a non-judgmental, confidential atmosphere.
