Woman caught with stolen property worth R800 000
This domestic worker was abandoned by her robber boyfriend when they were stopped by SAPS.
JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – A 29-year-old woman was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, house robbery and possession of suspected stolen property valued at R800 000.
It is alleged that the domestic worker was involved in a house robbery which took place in Lenasia on September 16.
On the day of the robbery, at about 12:30, members of Mondeor SAPS were driving an unmarked bakkie along Columbine Avenue. They spotted a silver grey Hyundai with one female and four males inside. The officers pulled the vehicle over with the intention of searching it.
The four males immediately jumped out and fled in different directions. The officers gave chase but were unable to apprehend any them. The police are still searching for the four males suspects. One of them is believed to be the boyfriend of the female suspect who was arrested.
