Child shot at in Rosettenville

While at a shootout scene paramedics were informed that a child was also shot at.

ROSETTENVILLE – Paramedics treated and transported two people who were wounded during a shooting in Rosettenville last night.

On their arrival at the scene, the paramedics found two men, believed to be about 25 and 34 years of age, laying on the pavement.

According to ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing, “They were assessed and found to have sustained gunshot wounds. Paramedics treated the men and transported them to hospital for further medical care.”

The child who was shot at was apparently transported to hospital prior to the paramedics’ arrival.

Bodasing said in a statement, “It is unsure if the child was transported privately or by another service.”

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
