BREAKING NEWS: Water tankers being stolen during this drought

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH: While residents are struggling to get enough water for their families, criminals have stolen water tankers, including the one in Crown Gardens.

Clr Sergio dos Santos confirmed that a water tanker in his ward 54 was stolen. Johannesburg Water Spokesman, Hilgard Matthews, believes the water tankers were stolen at night.

Meanwhile ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame made it clear that the water tanker in the South Hills Clinic was not stolen as she checked for it herself although it published on social media that it was stolen.  But infact, she is frustrated that the tanker does not get enough refill as it empties up quickly and if it gets stolen then that would be be like pouring salt to an open wound.
