Excietment: Christmas themed fun for the elderly

Socialize: Christmas themed fun for South seniors.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH: Senior citizens were treated to a wonderful Christmas year-end function by Mondeor Sector 2 CPF, in partnership with Columbine Square Spur, Dischem Mondeor and Tibbs, on November 17.

Attendees were treated to a Spur breakfast with tea or coffee, at Spur at Columbine Square, which was filled with colourful Christmas decorations and a big Christmas tree which had presents for the seniors under it.

This wasn’t all that was in store for the senior citizens. They were also given crackers and specially baked and decorated cupcakes.

“We want to make sure that everyone is taken of and is safe. Let’s enjoy our breakfast and our tea,” said Mondeor CPF’s Michelle Pelser.

Mondeor Sector 2 CPF noted that the aim of the monthly meeting is to get the seniors out of their homes because they shouldn’t be alone. The seniors are brought out with the purpose of socialising and meeting their peers.

A Tibb representative provided useful health advice and held a brief question and answer session to address the attendee’s health concerns.
