A DOMESTIC worker (25) was arrested on Tuesday, May 10, for reportedly stealing clothing from an address along Cadogan Avenue in Mondeor.
An SOS security officer spotted the suspect pushing a dustbin with clothes inside it in Colworth Street.
When the suspect was questioned she mentioned she was moving and the security officer then went to investigate in Cadogan Avenue, Mondeor, finding she had stolen the clothing. Among the stolen property was about 20 pairs of shoes.
The stolen property found in possession of the domestic worker was valued at around R40 000.
The woman was detained by Mondeor SAPS. Mondeor SAPS would like to commend the SOS officer for his vigilance and dedication in assisting the community.
