House robberies on the increase

More house robberies register in the South - SAPS

BOOYSENS SAPS is warning residents about an increase in house robberies committed by people pretending to be from service delivery institutes.

According to the police, culprits go to people’s homes and pretend to be there to either fix, check or install something.

Booysens SAPS is appealing to the community to please inform their domestic workers, and other people staying at their homes, not to let anyone onto the premises and to first confirm with the owners of the house before allowing anyone in.

Residents should also be careful as suspects hold up the occupants and steal a large amount of goods once they have gained access.
