Chame wants action from the JRA

Clr Chame says these pose a danger to residents.

WARD 57 councillor Faeeza Chame has noticed an increased number of potholes and missing manhole covers in the South and is pleading with residents to report these to the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA).

Clr Chame says these pose a danger to residents and that service from the JRA is much too slow.

“Anyone could fall into these open manholes and cars can be badly damaged by potholes. Although most of these incidents have been reported to the JRA, they are much too slow in responding.

“I want to appeal to residents to report open manhole covers and potholes to the JRA. Once you’ve obtained a reference number, send it to me, or to your local councillor, and we will follow-up with the JRA,” Clr Chame said.
