Water finally restored at school

The school still runs off a generator for electricity

IT seems the long battle for water at Ormonde Primary School is finally over.

Yap Salomon, deputy chair of the SGB, confirmed that Joburg Water has installed a water meter and there is now a water supply. “We are finally connected with Joburg Water,” he said.

The school had been battling without water as the property is situated on two sites, zoned educational and residential, and this presented obstacles for the necessary municipal services to be provided.

The school still runs off a generator for electricity, however.

The COURIER will keep readers informed of further developments at the school.
