Booysens SAPS arrests suspects

More suspects arrested and taken off the streets.

BOOYSENS SAPS officers arrested a total of 66 suspects for various crimes between Sunday, March 6, and Sunday, March 12.

These are the crimes and number of suspects: armed robbery – one, common assault – nine, assault with grievous bodily harm – one, attempted housebreaking and theft – three, common robbery – three, contravention of Liquor Act – two, drunken driving – one, fraud – two, hit-and-run accident – one, house robbery – one, illegal immigrant – eight, malicious damage to property – one, possession of dagga – four, possession of drugs – six, possession of firearm and ammunition – three, possession of firearm – three, possession of housebreaking implements – three, possession of unlicensed firearm – one, reckless and negligent driving – two, shoplifting – five, theft – four and theft of motor vehicle – two.
