Mandela Day Project at Moffat View a success

During the Mandela Day soup kitchen at the park the community were given soup with bread and clothing just to show them that the police care about them.

ELDERLY citizens from Moffat View Old Age Home and the surroundings gathered at the Moffat View Park next to the home where they were treated for Mandela Day on July 17.

GOODS: The community were given clothes, soup and bread.

Moffat View SAPS Women’s Network, Social Crime Prevention, Communications and Sector 3 CPF and Truth and Life Celebration Centre Church made the day memorable for the senior citizens.

During the Mandela Day soup kitchen at the park, the community was given soup with bread and clothing just to show them that the police care about them. Const Desiree Nose encouraged the community to report crime. “The police and the CPF are not only here to help you but also to listen to your grievances. Today you can talk to us about anything, we are here for you. This community belongs to all of us and we must take care of it,” she said.
