A touch of goodness for a haven
A bakkie load of toys and clothes were handed over to an organisation which saves lives.
A BAKKIE load of toys and clothes were handed over to an organisation which saves lives, on August 11.
The bakkie load of donations were handed to the Resthaven Ministries Charity organisation after Mandela Day.
Billy Naidoo from Rand Stadium Toyota The Glen and Melissa Grobbler from Land Rover were pivotal in providing the ton of goodies to the non-profit organisation.
An amount of R3 517.52 was handed to Resthaven after months of collections.
Resthaven, a non-profit organisation caring for the needs of families in communities, was established in 1979 from the boot of a car. Its members served soup to the needy in Johannesburg South.
An old boarding house in Diagonal Street, la Rochelle was purchased and established as an old-age home. More homes were opened at David House, Camelia House and at the new Life Centre soon after.
These days Resthaven is a fully functional NPO caring for families in need as well as more than 50 residents including both children and seniors.
