United Cerebral Palsy Association gets water tank
Omron employees identified the Cerebral Palsy Association and decided to step in.
A MUCH needed water tank was contributed to the United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPA) based in Townsview, Johannesburg.
The Omron Corporation took it upon themselves to contribute an automatic 5 000 liter water storage system that will supply emergency water when the association experiences water shortages.
The home which houses 36 children and several adults, is situated on a hill and is negatively affected by water stoppages, which according to the organisation occur regularly.
Omron partnered with their distribution partners, System Integrator and Zipcord, who created and installed the system.
The UCPA was established in the 1950’s by Harry Kessler, whose daughter suffered from Cerebral Palsy. They provide round the clock care to these children. Most of them need constant care. The UCPA is a residential as well as a daycare facility and are licensed by the Department of Health.
Jennifer Steven, HR manager at Omron South Africa, said they believed the project would support the organisation in their quest to provide quality care.
Omron employees identified the Cerebral Palsy Association and decided to step in. Steven said water is vital for the operation of an organisation such as UCPA.
