Please help the Siyabonga Children’s Home

The home requires a multitude of things to keep it running well

SIYABONGA Children’s Home on the border of Alberton and Germiston are in need of help.

The home is currently looking after 34 children, from babies, right through to young adults.

“We have many people to look after and of course we are not funded by government or anything, we are completely reliant on donations,” said Susan Horne, home mother.

The home requires a multitude of things to keep it running well, such as an upgrade of their cold room where they store their food, someone to help get their vegetable garden going and maintained to be able to keep the kids fed well, garden services and someone to trim the tree that hangs over the vegetable garden, batteries for their solar needs, dog food donations for their dogs at the home, someone who is able to get a borehole going to supply them with water and donations of toys for children, monetary donations, etc.

“We would like to thank our sponsors for all they have done and continue to do for us, without you, we couldn’t do what we do,” said Horne.

“Thank you so much to the St. Laurent Children’s Home, Friends of the South, Letris Chemicals, Afrox, Brackendowns Baptist Church, Kauai Juice, Cool Runners, A-Z Party Hire, Grant’s Dairy, Tic Toc Preschool, Bidvest Steiner and a special thank you to Dr Shaw from Chimera Surgical for the much needed monthly groceries,” she added.
