Reducing death on the roads – what can we do?

Motorists need to be very cautious. They need to take responsibility and be conscious of other motorists.

THE motorist death toll during Easter seems to be on the increase since 2016. The Courier took to the streets to ask people what they thought could lessen road fatalities during the Easter season.

PETRUS HUSKISSON: “Motorists need to not only respect other motorist but adhere to the rules of the road. Bottle stores also need to have earlier closing times during public holidays.”
LEADER OF NEUTRAL SINGERS MGCINENI NDLOZI: “Motorists need to stop overloading vehicles, Stop drinking and driving. Speed kills. Motorists also need to stop taking their problems from home and bringing them on the roads.”
REVEREND JOSEPH WHITE: “Motorists need to be very cautious. They need to take responsibility and be conscious of other motorists.”
SYDNEY MILLER: “We just need to take most taxis off the road.”
