STELLA Maris Primary School in Turffontein had an excursion to the South African Airways Museum, Rand Airport bordering Alberton and Germiston on June 14.
The purpose of the outing was to teach the learners about the history of South African aeroplanes, how safe they are and also what it takes to become a pilot.

Learners were able to see the facility and were wowed by the aeroplanes. Not only did the learners enjoy themselves, but this was also a treat for the educators and some parents.

Aremu Andrew Gbenga school administrator said: “The trip was a great success and the learners enjoyed it and learned so much through it. And some of the parents were so excited about the trip as well. Nevertheless, we are definitely looking forward to another future educational trip.”
