Youth Day celebrated in Ward 57

“Youth Day is the day that honours the deaths of many Soweto school children. A day that changed the course of South Africa's history,” said Cllr Chame.

WARD 57 youth celebrated Youth Day, June 16 with lots of activities, especially in Moffat View and South Hills.

In Moffat View they had soccer teams which played against other areas’ teams and in South hills there was soccer, talent competitions such as poetry, singing, dancing and Jack the magician as part of the day’s events. There were three judges to hand out medals and trophies for the best talent of the day: Cllr Faeeza Chame, Conwill Douglas and Nontyileko Masakaza.
