BOOYSENS SAPS worked tirelessly and made 212 arrests during August.

Armed robbery – eight, assault common – 27, assault grievous bodily harm – eight, attempted common robbery – one, attempted murder – two, child neglect – one, common robbery – seven, contempt of court – one, drinking in public – eight, drug-related crime – 47, drunken driving – 26, fraud – four, housebreaking and theft – three, business break-in and theft – two, intimidation – two.

SAPS also made arrests for malicious injury to property – four, murder – one, possession of house break-in implements – one, possession of stolen motor vehicle – five, possession of suspected stolen goods – eight, possession of unlicensed firearm – five, reckless negligence driving – two, selling liquor without licence – one, shoplifting – 24, theft – 10, theft out of motor vehicle – two, use of motor vehicle without owner’s consent – one and violation of protection order – one.
