Bicycles parts are important to the duo

JABULANI Nyathi and Innocent Nyathi decided broken and unwanted bicycle goods can be a means to an end.
The duo’s love for bicycles has led them to open a small business of repairing bicycles for residents of Turffontein. Residents bring their bicycles to them for servicing or fixing, when needed.
Their business started off by chance in 2002. They had one bicycle each and one of their bicycles broke so they tried their luck and fixed it, and the news spread. Today, residents bring all kinds of bicycles to them to be fixed.
Jabulani said fixing bicycles is what they do every day.
“We actually fix bicycles for free but every time after finishing fixing bicycles clients decide to give us compensation for our work and time, which puts food on the table for us. We have every tool we need to make our job perfect. What keeps me going is the work Innocent puts in,” said Jabulani.
Jabulani and Innocent believe one day they will have their own business site where they will be selling and fixing bicycles. One of the clients present when COURIER visited said, “This duo really knows how to fix bicycles.”
