Booysens man (45) feels treated like trash in his own home

A 45-year-old man from Booysens feels he is treated like trash in his own home.
He told the COURIER since his stepdaughter (21) moved in with them, his house has turned into a battlefield.
The 21-year-old moved from the Eastern Cape to reside with her mother who is married to the 45-year-old but her stay has given them sleepless nights.
The man said the daughter wants her mother to divorce him and therefore she is creating all sorts of problems to push them apart.
He claims she beats him if he does not agree with her on something. What pains him is that he treats her as if she is his own but she doesn’t see it that way.
He further told the COURIER not so long ago she poured a bucket of urine on him just because he had denied her money to buy clothes.
“I can’t live with this child anymore, I’ve had enough. She does not even listen to her mother when she reprimands her. Even my neighbours can’t take her attitude anymore. It’s clear that this child needs professional help because if she is not helped she will keep on hurting people,” said the stepfather.
The neighbours are fed up with her attitude towards everyone as well. They said what irritates them is that she beats her stepfather as if they are age-mates. The family has tried chasing her away but she doesn’t want to go.
The girl’s mother said: “The only thing that bothers my daughter is anger. This thing does not need doctors, but traditional healers, so I have taken her to Tsakane to consult with her ancestors. I believe after that she will come back transformed.”
The daughter did not want to comment.
