Booysens SAPS’ hard work yielded to 253 arrests

Total number of arrest made by SAPS in February

BOOYSENS SAPS made 253 arrests during February.

The arrests are as follows:

Armed robbery- two, assault common – 33, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm – 11, attempted housebreaking and theft – one, attempted murder – four, business robbery – three, carjacking – one, common robbery – six, contravention of SASREA (South African Sports and Recreation Act) – one, corruption – two, drinking in public – 35, drug-related crime – 19, drunken driving – 36, failure to register business – three, fraud – five, contravention of the gambling act – one, housebreaking and theft – 10.

There were also arrests made for housebreaking and theft at businesses premises – two, house robbery – two, intimidation – one, malicious damage to property – six, murder – one, pointing of firearm – one, possession of ammunition – one, possession of ammunition and housebreaking implements – one, possession of car breaking implements – two, possession of counterfeit money – one, possession of stolen motor vehicle – one, possession of suspected stolen goods – six, possession of unlicensed firearm – one, rape – one, reckless and negligence driving – three, selling counterfeit tickets – three, selling liquor without licence – three, sexual assault – one, shoplifting – 19, theft -18, theft of motor vehicle – one, theft out of motor vehicle – one, trespassing and the use of motor vehicle without the owner’s consent – one.
