MONDEOR Tracing Unit Police arrested three suspects between the ages of 30 and 38 for alleged house robbery on April 2, in Naturena.
It is alleged two suspects tried to rob a 30-year-old male in his house.
The victim was in the dining room watching television when he was surprised by the two males inside the house.
They instructed him to keep quiet. One of them stabbed him with a screwdriver in the upper body. He screamed for help and his family came to his rescue.
One suspect was apprehended and a screwdriver recovered. His accomplice fled the scene and jumped into a grey Corolla and sped off.
Nothing was taken inside the house. The police traced the second suspect who was apprehended at Molapo, Soweto, the following day.
The vehicle used in the commission of the crime was impounded. The police continue with their investigation. The suspects will appear soon in the Booysens’ Magistrate Court.
