They also wish to thank the Premier of Gauteng David Makhura and his team for creating such a platform that recognises great work done by the civil society organisations, departments and individuals to serve humanity and fulfilling the vision of Gauteng province.
“It is always a good feeling when one’s hard work is recognised; however, to every great honour, comes greater responsibility.
“To us as Believers Care Society, it is a call to greater responsibility, a higher call to service and we will do more for the youth of Gauteng.
“The socio-economic challenges faced by the youth are multifaceted and must be addressed through an integrated holistic approach
“Incorporate services and strategies that addresses youth poverty and unemployment, gender-based violence, social integration and cohesion, mental health issues, disease awareness, treatment and control without any form of stigmatisation, and most importantly the youth need a role model, they should find it in our leaders and not in their peers, streets and social media.
“Leaders that they can look upon that translate words into action, upright leaders that lead by example, leaders that show that fearing God is the beginning and fundamental requirement for every great leadership,” said Alexander.
