Pensioner praises the president

She said the president took important decisions during lockdown.

It is over 60 days and the lockdown is taking its toll on many. However, Violet Naidoo (64) from Annie Burger Old Age Home thanked President Cyril Ramaphosa for the way he handled it.

She said the president took important decisions during lockdown.

“I want to thank President Cyril Ramaphosa and his team for the stance they took during lockdown. Besides him, closer to home, there were various people who helped us, the pensioners, during lockdown.”

Three political parties came to the rescue to help us here; the DA is doing a fantastic job here, they take us on Mondays and Fridays to do our shopping, the ANC organised lunch for us (we were served Nando’s) and EFF helped to cut my grass and they pray with us.

“The Muslim community provided groceries and soup, while pastor Wallie Page gave us vegetables and Pastor Jacques Hudson gave us food from Woolworths”

Thank you to the paramedics who give us medication and also to everyone who took their time and make us worthy as pensioners. Thank you,” she said.
