WATCH: Young entrepreneur ventures into business

"We use environmentally friendly sanitisers which do not contain alcohol because it can cause skin irritation, long-term respiratory problems and eye problems."

The coronavirus may have brought misery to the world, but for Wendy Mashinini (20) from Glenvista, it brought a business idea – a sanitation booth.

Her business, Zibondiwe Basadi Business Enterprise, partnered with Akbar Aboo of Palladium Distribution to provide innovative and cost-effective sanitation booths.

“Our booths are 3D-printed laser cut, made of stainless steel and powder coated. We use environmentally friendly sanitisers which do not contain alcohol because it can cause skin irritation, long-term respiratory problems and eye problems.

“They have 10 nozzles to cover your entire body and are wheelchair friendly with an incliner. Through this innovation, we have created jobs for maintenance and installation people. We assemble them on site. They are made on a contractual basis,” explained Wendy.

For more information contact her at Wendy.mash1.wm@gmail.com or on 066 186 0285 or 082 258 1561.
