Joburg Water serves the community

Residents of Bethlehem Street in the south of Johannesburg have been experiencing problems with meter box theft. 

Alice Malindi from Southdale Depot, Joburg Water, said they have been contacted by the residents about water running down the street. They came out on the same day to install new water meter boxes. 

“Meter box theft has been going for some time now and it has only gotten worse. We are here to install plastic meter boxes to curb the theft. We all need water and people deserve better,” she said.
