Three behind bars for business break-in and theft

Booysens SAPS was called and arrested the suspects for business break-in and theft.

Last year on July 5 at 10 pm the complainant, who is a security supervisor, was on duty patrolling along Fourth Street in Booysens Reserve.

When he arrived at one of the businesses he supervises, he met up with the security guard who pointed out the business’s door was forced open.

The security office mentioned that he had noticed people pushing things out of the company. The supervisor called for back-up; they caught three suspects taking goods belonging to the company.

Booysens SAPS was called and arrested the suspects for business break-in and theft. The docket was given to WO Fanie van Staden to investigate.

All three suspects were found guilty and sentenced as follows: suspect one was sentenced to five years’ direct imprisonment, suspect two to three years’ direct imprisonment and suspect three to three years’ direct imprisonment.

Booysens SAPS communications officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said the management thanks the members who made the arrests and van Staden for obtaining the conviction.
