WATCH: Councillors hand over PPE to Glenanda Clinic

“We have identified the Glenanda Clinic to assist with their needs and hope to build a relationship.

PR councillor for Ward 23 Tyrell Meyers, with councillors Rashida Landis for Ward 55 and Jacques van Rensburg for Ward 23 visited Glenanda Clinic to handover PPE to the community.

“We have identified Glenanda Clinic to assist with their needs and hope to build a relationship. This is our first engagement with the clinic at this ward alongside the team, and Sr Shabangu from Glenanda Clinic,” said Meyers.

He said the idea is to also find out what the challenges that the clinic staff face are.

“We also did not come empty-handed. We brought some PPE because we know they are in need, as well as baby nappies for newborns and sanitary pads,” he said.

Meyers said they aim to work together.

There is still a lot to be done around the community clinic and they plan to upgrade the infrastructure.

“We are working on capital expenditure programmes that will assist the clinic to be upgraded. We want to do our best to upgrade the clinic and help the community,” he said.
