Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested nine suspects for different crimes in different areas in Johannesburg and recovered two vehicles from September 3 to 6.
Among the nine suspects arrested, one was for a warrant of arrest for house break-in, one for possession of a stolen vehicle, six for possession of the stolen property and one for possession of drugs.
Among the vehicles recovered was a grey Toyota Corolla that was hijacked from the owner and a white Toyota Etios that was stolen.
Johannesburg Flying Squad communication officer Raymond Sambo said the investigation continues in all cases and working together with the community led to these recoveries.
“SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. It should also be noted that for any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.
“The nine suspects aged between 25 and 33 appeared in different magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, warrant of arrest for house break-in and possession of drugs,” he said.
